A Good Start
Every January, the Nashville songwriting community comes together (four at a time) at the Bluebird Cafe to raise money for Alive Hospice of Middle Tennessee, one of our region's most beloved non-profits. I was treated to some great company this year with these top shelf talents - my first time in a round with each.
It was a sold out night and I have to say one of my favorites in this iconic room. I love how the audience leans in to each story and song. There's a purity to that exchange. That connection - when someone feels what you've tried to express in music and words - still fuels me after all these years of doing it. And makes me want to keep doing it. A good way to start a new year of making music.
